What is Dunkirk Conference Center?

The Dunkirk Conference Center is 110 acres of woodland, streams, playing fields, open grounds, and nature trails overlooking Lake Erie. DCC, as it is referred to, has a competition-sized swimming pool, and 23 heated cabins that house up to 12 campers each, a dining hall offering family style and buffet style meals, worship at Vesper Point, and a wide variety of study and recreational activities.

DCC is conveniently located on Route 5, just 3 miles east of Dunkirk. DCC is mid-way between Buffalo and Erie, Pennsylvania and can be easily reached from Exits 58 and 59 on the New York State Thruway.

General Information

* All weeklong camps include six nights lodging and 17 meals.
* Mini-camp includes three nights lodging and ten meals.
* Weekends begin on Friday evening after dinner and include two nights lodging and four meals.
* Campers must provide their own bedding and towels.
* Laundry facilities are for the use of the staff and are only available to campers for emergency needs.
* Each camper must arrive at camp with a completed health form, including all shot dates filled in.
* The camp nurse will administer all medications.
* All medications must be in their original containers.
* Televisions/air conditioners are not allowed at camp.
* All campers must use the pay phone.
* Telephone calls and visits to youth campers are strongly discouraged.
* No pets are allowed on the grounds.
* No smoking, no alcholic beverages, illegal drugs, fireworks or firearms allowed on camp property.
* In case of an emergency, please contact the camp manager.

Special Facilities For Special People

DCC is accessible to the physically disabled. Five cabins have ramps, four with special lavatory facilities. All major buildings are accessible, and blacktop connects all major buildings, including the pool. Nature trails are also accessible to the physically disabled.

Security

If a person other than the parent or guardian is picking up a child from camp, proper forms should be completed and handed to the Camp Manager. This is also true in the event a child is to be picked up and returned during the week. Forms are available from the Camp Manager and all Camp Directors
